GLOSCESTER ROAD — It’s been a while since I have been in the Middle East. Probably too long. But the good news is that I am going in a few weeks. And, today I worked with a bunch of people from the UAE, Egypt and many other parts of the world. I found it exciting and refreshing, as I always have.
We talked about engagement, culture and other good things at the Melcrum SCM Summit. And because the group was so mixed, we got to quite a few different topics. But what I love that the Middle Easterners always bring is a “why couldn’t we do that?” attitude. However daunting the task they always just assume that it can be done. And usually done faster than anywhere else has been able to do it.
That’s not a “default setting” for the rest of us, is it?
(Then there is the added advantage that they actually have daylight in the Gulf and other areas around and about there. Look at the level of sunshine in Britain today!)
