As of this week, any employee in the UK can request flexible working arrangements. And their employer must look into it. And so begins a real opportunity for companies to move to flexible working and discover how much it can save them, and see the real rise in productivity, the decrease in staff turn-over, the greater employee job satisfaction, etc.
Maybe the most eye catching number though is how much can be saved on operating costs. If for no other reason that’s got to be a big reason why big companies like RBS, Vodafone and Cisco have undertaken such big flexible working programmes.
