How do I break bad news to a group of people?
Usually this is easier as individuals are unlikely to feel singled out. The best approach, Mr Ferrabee says, is to humanise the news and be straight. “Tell people things as truthfully and as clearly as you can. Avoid jargon and tell them who will be affected … Admit everything as long as you don’t open yourself up to lawsuits. It’s good to push legal people on what you can say,” he says.
