LONDON — Saturday it was my friend Terry from Toronto. Sunday it was Jack from Amsterdam.
Sometime this week a man called Clem is coming by the office. We almost recruited him, but he joined the Army instead. We know why he’s in town.
Then there’s Trevor, coming by this week, who I haven’t seen in years…
We know that there are games on here. But the fact is that London is open for business.
We work a lot with GE, BP and Coke. We know how busy they are. There’s a Visa person on my street… so the torch came by.
While it may be easy and self-righteous to complain about commercialism and the Games, business is here to play. And sport has got to be the biggest beneficiary.
But London business shouldn’t be too far behind.
