Engage Employees

Change efforts seldom fail because of poor project management skills or know-how within an organisation. In fact most managers will tell you that they are experts at change management.

Unfortunately, major changes often fail to take hold of the people they’re targeted at. And when the future of the business is on the line, you cannot afford to be one of the 70% of change programmes that fail.

Although many people like to talk about ‘employee engagement’, it is an under-developed management skill.  If you don’t know the difference between engaging with and the engagement of employees, then you need our help.

Here are some of the challenges our clients face:

  • Communications campaign – we need to find ways of raising awareness with employees, without adding to the general ‘noise’ that people find so distracting.
  • Values and behaviours – How do we find ways of identifying and embedding employee values and behaviours so that they become accepted ways of working?
  • Organisational design – we need to know what we can do to support HR before, during and after a re-design, so that local leadership teams and employees are properly prepared.
  • Training – we’ve been asked to address the need for communications and change skills, but it needs to be in an engaging and creative way – we can’t do traditional chalk and talk.
  • Celebrate success – we always say we’ll do it. But this time it would be fantastic if we had a process to identify and celebrate individual and team successes all along (rather leave it to the end, by when people have already moved on)

Able and How helps our clients’ projects be successful by ensuring technical implementation teams are properly supported. We help bridge technical implementation with the employee experience.

We develop creative design and content for communications campaigns. We develop engagement sessions for values and behaviours. We deliver leadership and employee training courses. We capture lessons learnt and successes, and turn them into iconic stories.
